Ashley joins as cofounder

The Giving Credit team is growing!

Ashley Sherwin has joined as Giving Credit’s Cofounder. She brings to Giving Credit a strong business acumen, deep social sector knowledge, and a proven track record in relationship building and organizational management. Ashley will be leading the business side of the organization including revenue generation, partnership building, marketing, and communications.

Ashley has committed her career to scaling innovative, community-led solutions that drive better financial outcomes for people with low to moderate incomes and their communities. Ashley has spent the last 20 years leading organizations with a focus on the intersections of strategy, partnership development, communications, financial management, and revenue generation.

David and Ashley are no strangers to one another. They worked together at UpTogether where Ashley was the VP of Partnerships. While there she led the efforts to grow annual revenue from $3M to $30M while developing UpTogether’s strategic action plan for scale and building its partnerships team. She partnered with the technology team under David’s leadership to raise and disburse $200M in COVID-19 cash relief during the early months of the pandemic further cementing the roles community and technology can come together.

Most recently, she was the Chief Operating Officer at SaverLife, a nonprofit and advocacy organization that is using technology to improve the financial health of people living on low to moderate incomes. At SaverLife she was a member of an all-female executive team with specific responsibilities for revenue generation, finance, communications and marketing, and aligning vision to strategy.
